Match Card & Official Results:

  • Cody Rhodes vs. Ludwig Kaiser
The night opened with a competitive singles match. Ludwig Kaiser gave Cody a run for his money, but a well-timed Cross Rhodes sealed the win for the American Nightmare. A clean win that keeps Cody’s momentum rolling.
  • Women’s Tag Team Match: Katana Chance & Kayden Carter vs. Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark
This one was short and savage. Baszler and Stark wasted no time, showing brutal efficiency and locking in a submission to wrap things up early. The women’s tag division has some serious muscle now.
  • The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor & JD McDonagh) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods)
One of the more chaotic matches of the night, this bout saw interference from Dominik Mysterio tip the scales. The Judgment Day continues to operate like a well-oiled machine—and they’re not afraid to bend the rules.
  • Bron Breakker vs. Ricochet
Breakker brought intensity and power, bulldozing Ricochet in a match that mixed speed with raw force. The Spear was vicious—but what followed was even more telling. A post-match beatdown hinted at a major character shift for Breakker, possibly setting him on a heel trajectory.
  • Intercontinental Championship: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Chad Gable
Hands down, the match of the night. These two delivered a clinic in pacing, reversals, and storytelling. The crowd was on fire throughout. Sami retained his title with a picture-perfect Helluva Kick, but Gable earned the standing ovation for pushing the champ to the brink.
  • Main Event: Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins – No. 1 Contender’s Match
This was main-event storytelling at its finest. Seth Rollins fought through an injured leg, but Drew McIntyre proved too powerful and too focused. After a dramatic back-and-forth, McIntyre landed a devastating Claymore Kick to win clean and secure a World Title shot at SummerSlam.

Show Analysis:

WWE Raw on June 16 delivered one of the most well-rounded episodes in weeks. Every match meant something—from Cody’s strong opener to Sami Zayn’s title defense and McIntyre’s defining win. The episode didn’t just entertain—it pushed stories forward.

Judgment Day remains one of the most compelling groups on Raw, while Bron Breakker’s turn could bring serious shakeups in the mid-card. The women’s division saw limited time this week, but Baszler and Stark made their minutes count with intensity and chemistry.

Crowd & Venue Vibe:

TD Garden was loud, passionate, and fully engaged. Boston never disappoints when it comes to wrestling energy, and this night was no different. Every near-fall, chant, and finisher had the crowd on their feet. WWE’s connection with historic venues like this always brings out something special.

Final Take:

WWE Monday Night Raw (6/16/25) was a strong chapter in the buildup to SummerSlam. Drew McIntyre’s return to the main event spotlight is refreshing, while Sami Zayn continues to prove why he’s one of the company’s most reliable workhorses. If WWE can maintain this level of storytelling and in-ring balance, Raw is set to dominate the summer season.

This episode is definitely one to watch—whether you’re catching the replay or rewatching that Intercontinental title match.
